Modulino is a project developed during my 3rd term at the University of Design in Schwäbisch Gmünd. The project explores the design space of an interactive menu at a restaurant using a projection. The first part of the project was spend on analyzing the dining process to see were such a system would make sense and how much space we can use for the projection. After we recorded a dinner from a top down perspective we realized that everyone uses their space differently. Because of that we decided to make our menu respond to the current position of objects on the table. The later stages of the project were spent on designing the actual menu and building a prototype.
