IAT 267

Project Description

The course IAT 267 Introduction to Technological Systems is a project based course in which students were introduced to the basics of electronics, the Arduino IDE, and programming. The course was split into lectures and labs. During the lectures students learned the theory behind electronics, programming, prototyping, as well as technological systems. During the labs students were working on small exercises and their course projects. It was the job of the teaching assistant to rehearse the important aspects of the lecture during the labs and to assist the students working on their exercises and course projects.

The above picture shows some outcomes of the Hack a Toy exercise. Students had to get a cheap toy and hack it’s electronic component to do something different, or add a simple interaction.
