Introduction to the basics of visual grammar.

Basic design course during the 1 term at the University of Design in Schwäbisch Gmünd. During the first stage of the course we used circles to investigate their effect on the two dimensional space they inhabit as well as their effect in each other. Parameters like size, position, brightness etc were used in order to conduct this exploration. During the second stage of the course each student decided what topic he want to explore with the use of circles. I chose to dedicate my exploration to find out when we recognize a shape as a circle (even if it isn't actually a circle) and how circles can be used to describe other shapes (such as waves).
